Cavs FINALLY Broke the Streak

The Cavs ended their long losing streak in a close win over the Hawks. A lot stuck out during that game, several less appreciated players shined during that game and helped propel the Cavs to victory. Today we will discuss which players these are and what it means for the future rotations.

Dylan Windler

The Cavs shooting weaknesses have been well documented as of late. There is someone on the roster who can help improve the poor spacing the Cavs have had this season. Dylan Windler went 5/5 from 3 and gave a glimpse into why we drafted him.

He played within the flow of the offense and made smart decisions, always looking for the best shot on the floor. This team mindset can make him a quality off ball wing for the rest of the season. He can help the spacing woes that come from having a true center on the floor at all times alongside streaky shooters such as Cedi Osman and Isaac Okoro.

Lamar Stevens

One of the most underrated players on the roster in Lamar Stevens made the play of the game to lead the Cavs to their first win in close to a month. After getting the pass from Sexton he blows by Trae Young into a game winning dunk. While this is the only play others will acknowledge of his, he contributed in many areas.

His contributions on defense and on the board will go unnoticed but he played great all game and was one of the reasons we got the victory. His rotations were on point all game and his hustle and energy on the boards led to multiple second chances. In as close of a game as this was every possession matters.

Lamar could be the key into getting the Cavs quality defense back on track after the loss of Larry Nance for multiple weeks. His energy and versatility from the 3 or 4 can help replicate some of what Larry brought to this team.
